Belinda Bencic stunned No. 3 seed Coco Gauff 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 on Wednesday at Indian Wells and will face another American, Madison Keys, in the quarterfinals.

Coco Gauff was coming off a victory over two-time Indian Wells finalist Maria Sakkari earlier in the week, but her momentum was halted by Belinda Bencic.

Belinda Bencic acknowledged the ninth game of the third set was "the turning point" of her Indian Wells win against Coco Gauff and also revealed that she sensed the home favorite being tight in that faithful game and wanted to put as much pressure as possible.
