A top Democrat has urged the Treasury Department to not push through with President Donald Trump's plans to establish a strategic Bitcoin reserve, saying it's just a new "scheme" for the president and his associates to benefit from.

President Trump issued an executive order entitled “Establishment of the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and United States Digital Asset Stockpile.” It is the latest effort in the President’s sweeping reforms concerning the digital asset industry.
