Baltimore Orioles shortstop Gunnar Henderson remains optimistic he will be ready for the season opener on March 27 as he recovers from a mild right intercoastal strain. “That’s my plan,” Henderson said Saturday on MLB.com. “That’s what I’m hoping for.”

Henderson, who has been battling a right intercostal issue, says he's feeling much better and hopes to be on the field when the O's battle the Toronto Blue Jays on March 27.

The Baltimore Orioles are going to need a healthy Gunnar Henderson in 2025 in order to make any noise in the competitive American League East. Henderson is currently dealing with an intercostal strain.
