Steven Knight has hinted that there may be a theatrical outing for his Peaky Blinders film ahead of its arrival on Netflix’s streaming platform. Knight saw his original TV series become an international hit over six seasons between 2013 and 2022, and told Playlist that filming had completed on the cinematic version:

Steven Knight has been cooking up something big with the Peaky Blinders movie, and if he has his way, fans won’t just be watching it at home sitting on their couches. The creator of the hit series recently teased the possibility of a theatrical release before the film lands on Netflix,

The original series ran on Netflix for six seasons from 2013 to 2022 and, after years of speculation, a “Peaky Blinders” film was officially announced in June 2024. Cillian Murphy will return as star and producer and Tom Harper is set to direct.
