The Channel Tunnel has just turned 30 🇫🇷 🇬🇧 🎂 The world's longest undersea tunnel was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II and President François Mitterrand in May 1994 linking Folkestone in Kent, with Calais, northern France, for the first time. More than 13,000 workers from both France and England worked on the project, which took six years to build.
